The adventure begins with a 7:00 AM departure from Watamu, heading toward Tsavo East National Park. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours, bringing you to the park’s main entrance at 9:30 AM. While your driver takes care of the ticketing, you’ll have the chance to walk down to the riverbanks and observe crocodiles basking in the sun.

Once inside the park, you will embark on a 3-hour morning game drive, exploring the vast savannah and spotting a variety of wildlife, including elephants, zebras, lions, and giraffes. By 1:00 PM, you’ll arrive at Sentrim Tarhi Camp, a comfortable safari camp nestled within the park. After check-in, you will enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by some leisure time to relax and take in the natural surroundings.

At 3:30 PM, the adventure continues with an evening game drive, where you’ll have more opportunities to spot wildlife in the golden glow of the setting sun. As darkness approaches, you’ll return to Sentrim Tarhi Camp for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Your second day begins with an early wake-up call at Sentrim Tarhi Camp, followed by a hearty breakfast. By 6:00 AM, you will check out and embark on a morning game drive, making the most of the cooler hours when animals are most active.

At around 9:30 AM, you will exit Tsavo East through Voi Gate and begin a 1-hour drive to the stunning Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, arriving at around 11:00 AM. As you enter the sanctuary, your game drive continues, allowing you to explore its diverse landscapes and spot an abundance of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, and big cats.

By midday, you’ll arrive at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, one of Kenya’s most famous lodges, where the elevated walkways and waterholes provide an unparalleled opportunity to observe wildlife up close. After checking in, you will have lunch and a chance to relax before the afternoon adventure begins.

At 3:30 PM, you will set off on an evening game drive, exploring the sanctuary’s unique ecosystem. As the sun sets, you will return to Salt Lick Safari Lodge, where you can freshen up, enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend the night in this unforgettable setting, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Your final safari day starts with an early wake-up at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, followed by breakfast. After checking out, you will embark on a morning game drive, making the most of your last chance to encounter the park’s incredible wildlife. By 10:00 AM, you will exit Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, marking the end of your safari experience.

The journey back begins with a 2-hour drive to Voi Town, where you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, the final leg of the trip takes approximately 3.5 hours, bringing you back to your holiday destination in Watamu, Malindi, or Diani by 5:30 PM.
